"MARACAIBO" is an uptempo piece in 6/8 featuring beautiful melodies, lush harmonies, contrasting sections, with intensely polyrhythmic interplay between the parts. Scored for 5 cellos and optional harp/guitar/piano/mandolin. Premiered at the Rio International Cello Encounter in 2009 with 30 cellos, harp, and percussion.
